Positioning for growth

Over the last ten years, we have together accumulated a great deal of experience. We are wholly convinced that: Low-income women entrepreneurs and producers are the economic actors. Governments, financial institutions, NGOs and funders have important roles.

Banking on low income women entrepreneurs is not only the right thing to do, it is the smart thing to do – as an effective means to alleviate poverty, encourage entrepreneurship and reach an emerging growth market.

Kenya Women First Great Launch

Hon. Musalia Mudavadi, EGH, will launch the first Kenya Women Microfinance Regulated branch on Friday, 28th May 2010 at Bukhungu Stadium, Western Zone. Kenya Women Finance Trust received its license commencing 1st April 2010.

AMFI New Leadership
Dr. Jeniffer Riria, PHD, MBS, the Group C.E.O of Kenya Women is now the Chair of the Association of Microfinance Institutions in Kenya (AMFI). AMFI is a network of 43 microfinance practitioner institutions. Dr. Jeniffer Riria was unanimously elected as the Chair at the AMFI AGM held on 24th May 2010.
