The Queen of Spain, Receives Dr. Jennifer Riria At Zarzuela Palace
 The Queen of Spain, Dona Sofia, receives Dr. Jennifer Riria, the CEO of Kenya Women Finance Trust at Zarzuela palace where she paid her a courtesy call. Looking on is the president of Women’s World Bank (WWB), Mary Ellen Iskenderian.
The meeting discussed the importance of the micro finance in empowering women’s role and positioning them as actors in their economies while ensuring equality. Dr. Riria was in Spain to speak on impact of microfinance on African women empowerment and during crisis.
The meeting was organized by Casa Africa and Casa Asia in collaboration with the Spanish agency for international cooperation and development whose theme was the value of microfinance in times of crisis; Africa and Asia. The meeting exchanged experiences and best practices related to the role of finance. |
